Overview

Executive AI Statistics compiles every figure published across the August 2026 editions of the Enterprise AI Buying and Budget Index into single citable sentences, each with its response base and a link to its source report. It spans AI budgets and funding, sign-off and governance, ROI expectations, agentic AI adoption, AI security, AI pricing, and investor portfolios.

Selected figures

  • 34% of finance-room respondents report no clear AI budget yet, up from 23% in early July (source: CFO AI Leverage Report).
  • The CEO is the most-named signer of AI purchases at 44% of late-July operator answers, with the CFO second at 33% (source: CEO AI Leverage Report).
  • 81% of marketing and growth respondents are past exploring agentic AI, 187 of 230 (source: CMO AI Leverage Report).
  • 58% of senior security leaders name securing AI agents and their access as their top AI security problem (source: CISO AI Leverage Report).

The August 2026 dataset covers 6,055 unique registrations across 15 events, deduplicated to 5,311 unique guests (source: Executive AI Leverage Report).

Methodology & Sample

Each statistic carries its own response base from its source report; multi-select figures use the any-mention convention and can sum past 100%. Bases under 40 are directional. The underlying dataset is archived with a permanent DOI (10.5281/zenodo.21576019).
