Currently, the only way a user can compare two layers on the map is by toggling their visibility. We should add new interaction modes to the map that enable more advanced layer comparisons. This could include vertical/horizontal slides, circular/rectangular viewers that the user can resize, or other interaction modes. The scope of this issue includes research of existing solutions, determining which interactions are possible with MapLibre, and implementation. It may also include consulting Faiza on UX for the controls of these new interaction modes.
