Support IntelliJ IDEA 2025.3

Investigate to find any issues with LTI running on IntelliJ IDEA 2025.3. Make updates to and test with new feature branch (https://github.com/OpenLiberty/liberty-tools-intellij/tree/intellij-2025.3-support). Perform both automated and manual testing. Open new issues and track them here.

• Update intellij-2025.3-support branch to GitHub workflows (build.yaml) #1424
• Run compatibility scan in marketplace
• Run automated tests
• Perform FVT
• From tasks above, identify all issues associated with 2025.3 support. Open issues and track in this Epic.
• Resolve issues associated with 2025.3
• Upgrade IntelliJ Platform Gradle Plugin #1428
• Update the accessibleName of files in the UI tests running with the EAP version #1431
• Resolve the Deprecated AnActionEvent while running with 2024.3 #1118
• Resolve the Deprecated DataContext constructor while running with 2024.3 #1120
• Remove intellij-2025.3-support branch from GitHub workflows (build.yaml)
• Merge feature branch to main

Note: the estimate associated with this Epic is for all checkbox tasks above except for "Resolve issues associated with 2025.3". Those issues will have their own estimates.

I tried updating the intellij version to latest EAP 6 - 2025.3 EAP build 253.27642.30. While running the runIdeLocally task I am encountering the following error -

Could not determine the dependencies of task ‘:runIde’.
Failed to query the value of task ‘:runIde’ property ‘runtimeDirectory’.
Could not resolve all files for configuration ‘:intellijPlatformDependency_runIde’.
Could not find idea:ideaIC:253.27642.30.

I have raised the concern in youtrack and jetbrains forum. I could see a similar issue in youtrack - https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IJPL-210608/intellijPlatform-pluginVerification-cannot-find-ideaideaIC253.22441.33-using-recommended-tests.
Also in the builds - https://github.com/anusreelakshmi934/liberty-tools-intellij/actions/runs/18677109375/job/53249428930. I could see that the builds are failing in all three OS.
In Mac, I could see a Java heap space error, which possibly may have caused the failure in Mac. Also there are deprecations too which needs to be addressed.

@anusreelakshmi934 I have also been attempting to use this EAP build and hit a similar error. I have been investigating how to reference 2025.3 EAP in a plugin. Will share a solution if I figure this out first, otherwise would appreciate any insights you have from your experiments. Thanks.

Hi @mrglavas . We have received a response from Jetbrains - There are no CE builds anymore for 253, you will need to use IU product for compilation and testing. And there is no plan to release it anymore, as IntelliJ IDEA now has the free tier. So we may need to proceed with the IU version

Response from Jetbrains :

Starting with 2025.3, IDEA is moving to the Unified Distribution. The Community Edition version is not provided.
