Hibernate does not see update that was made on another thread

DataJPATestServlet.testEntitiesAsParameters updates an entity on another thread and tests that the update is visible to the current thread. EclipseLink can see it. Hibernate does not. Need to determine if the Data provider needs to do something to bypass the cache or if the test needs updates.

When the test is enabled, the error shows as
