In an effort to update older crypto algorithms to stronger ones, the core security team is analyzing diffs in prs to see when such older algorithm references are detected.

The file with MD5 references: dev/com.ibm.ws.com.sun.mail.javax.mail/src/com/sun/mail/smtp/SMTPTransport.java

Can such MD5 references be updated to stronger crypto algorithms like SHA256? We want to work with the owner to see if there is a necessity to continue using MD5 or update it.
