Imho the old-fashioned list is not for stats, its for naming "all-contributors".

Maybe add it, but it shouldnt be a replacement,

Okay, we can keep the list of all contributors from the beginning of the project, but I was wondering about the sorting logic?

There is no sorting logic. IIRC @kkrieger85 added the list manually. "all-contributors-bot" only add new entries to the end.

I was about to create the PR, but then I had second thoughts.
The main issue is the current list of contributors — I don't like it, both in terms of the HTML layout and the list/order of contributors.
I found this widget from contrib.rocks; I believe it still complies with the allcontributors.org specification?
At least it's more up-to-date, and we wouldn’t even need the bot?
