Intel MacOS : aarch/arm64 hard coding

I am trying to build OpenMoonray for an intel macbook as a test (I don't have access to M* chip machine)

I had a look at the code and see acknowledgement of the hard coding.

Are there plans to factor our the OS/arch specific information out so that it's easier in the future for other developers to e.g. port to RISC-V, ARM64 RHEL/Rocky/Alma or Graviton Amazon Linux etc ?

This isn't something that is currently on our roadmap, but we'd welcome any contributions.
