Total bafflement ... where is the documentation?

I downloaded 1.6.10 recently (W10 OS) and have tried to get the thing working.

I have had no luck getting it to dictate (Local / own-device) using "Base" and "Qwen2.5 7B".

What is more, no AI system is able to understand how to configure this version: after trying others I just tried Deepseek V4, whose LLM was frozen very recently: like all the others it tells me to look for endless things on the configuration pages which simply aren't there.

I am therefore thinking of trying to install an older version. Your releases in 2026 seem to be happening virtually every week. But they're not very useful if you have now made it impossible for a new user to install, configure and troubleshoot. Can you please come up with some proper documentation?

i also tried to use the advertized parakeet model in v1.7.0 but there is only whisper models available?
