Trouble Setting Up Ethernaut #469

Hi,
I'm glad that I've found ethernaut, but unfortunately I can't deploy the contracts. I was wondering if one of my dependencies or my node version is not the right one. I can't figure out what is the problem. I've done these so far:

Followed steps 1 to 5 and the local blockchain network is connected to my wallet.
Had to change localhost to 127.0.0.1 in the wallet setting and constants.js file
When I run yarn deploy:contracts, I face this errors:

I'm using Manjaro and my node version is v16.18.0. Do you guys have any idea what should I change to make it work? :)

Hello @NabilTheNoise can you show the output of node -v to see that effectively you have the right node version in use ? The repository is having an .nvmrc file for you to do nvm use in the case you have multiple versions of Node installed. In that way nvm use will set you the correct version of Node.

Also I don't get exactly this part:

Regarding Metamask, this is the setting that I have

However Metamask configuration is needed only once you get everything deployed.

What did you mean by setting the constatnts.js file ? Have you commented out all the ACTIVE_NETWORK variables and left uncommented only the LOCAL one ?

That error is in general given by a wrong Node version.

Hi there @xaler5! I appreciate your help :D I'll provide some screenshots to make it more clear what I've done so far:

Result of node -v:
My wallet RPC url change to 127.0.0.1 instead on localhost. The problem was that the wallet was not connecting to the local network to load the 10000 ETH and instead when I imported the account the balance was 0 ETH. So, by changing the RPC url the problem was solved:

After facing the above situation, I thought it might be a good idea to change the Local Network url properties from localhost to 127.0.0.1 in the constants.js file:
My network is on Local as the documentation suggested:

I think my problem is my node version. Just don't know which version to install to make it work correctly. I couldn't find anything about the required version of node.js inside the code or the documentation.
