Description
The Content Localization settings page (/Admin/Settings/ContentLocalization) appears mostly empty with just a "Save" button. The actual localization settings are nested under sub-menus (Content Culture, Content Culture Picker, Cultures), making the main page confusing.
Current Behavior
- User navigates to Settings > Localization
- User sees the Content Localization page with minimal content (just a Save button)
- User must discover the sub-menu items to find actual settings
Expected Behavior
The landing page should either provide useful information or redirect to the most relevant settings page.
Suggested Improvements
Option A: Dashboard/Summary view
- Show a summary of current localization configuration:
- Supported cultures list
- Number of content types with LocalizationPart
- Quick stats on localized content
- Include quick links to common actions
Option B: Redirect to most useful page
- Automatically redirect to the "Cultures" settings page (most commonly needed)
- Or redirect to a "Getting Started with Localization" page
Option C: Combined settings page
- Consolidate the sub-menu settings (Content Culture, Content Culture Picker, Cultures) into a single tabbed interface on the main page
- Reduce navigation depth
Option D: Help/guidance content
- If the page must remain minimal, add helpful text explaining:
- What each sub-menu option does
- Recommended setup steps
- Links to documentation
Impact
This would reduce confusion for users configuring localization settings for the first time.
