Addressing a Problem?
Since #630 (#629), we now have a way to improve the speed of subset_warming_level.
Potential Solution
Include the changes from #630 into subset_warming_level
Additional context
didn't have time to implement this in #630, leaving this issue open for the future, might have time to work on it next week.
