Android Auto Support

Description

The app currently doesn't support Android Auto. It plays back just fine, but media controls don't work through Android Auto. The standard Android Auto "Now Playing" widget is just empty; you can't control anything, and it doesn't display what is "Now Playing".

Other implementations

Usually, their Android Auto integration is built on top of Android's media framework. It creates a Media Session and Android Auto automatically recognizes it.

Benefit

This feature allows the hands-free control of the app when connected to Android Auto, as the car's OEM controls may sometimes only work if the app reports to Android Auto.

There is android support, but honestly, it is quite buggy, sometimes it works, sometime it doesn't. And when it does it lack important features like a shuffle button, or it loses the "playback state", sometime it shows a different song than the one is playing, etc…

Interesting. I've tried on 2 of my cars and neither were reporting AA support.
