@justinmillar had a question on raster files that I think fits within this issue. I've been doing some testing using your MODIS documentation, as well as testing the exactextractr package with some CHIRPS data, and have some raster files and data outputs stored. Is there an MNTD repo in development to store some of these rasters and outputs for other projects within the department to use? Or should we use the existing folder that Jonathan started on Box?

@kdavis06 I have not set up a Box folder for storing raster outputs, currently I've just been storing them within individual project folders. When I was at MAP we had a folder for raster data, which housed monthly and daily country-level raster data at a defined resolution and projection, along with automated Python scripts for pulling and formatting the files.

That could definitely be something we build out ourselves (maybe starting with MACEPA geographies?), but we would have to figure out the right people and funding source I think.

FYI there's presently a not-generally-shared Box folder with the raw CHIRPS and other downloads besides the more generally shared Box folder with the outputs.
