Thai Parliament Meeting Scraper

A scraper for extracting meeting details from the Thai Parliament's MSBIS system.

Features

  • Scrapes meeting details including:
    • Meeting dates and times
    • Agendas
    • Associated files (minutes, reports, vote records etc.)
  • Handles multiple meeting levels and hierarchies
  • Converts Thai numerals to Arabic numerals
  • Handles TIS-620 character encoding

Setup

  1. Clone the repository
  2. Install dependencies: npm install
  3. Set up environment variables: cp .env.example .env and fill in the values
  4. Run the scraper: npm run dev

Usage

  • The scraper will start fetching data from the MSBIS system and save the details to the specified GCS bucket.
  • The output directory will contain the scraped data in JSON format.
