We have received feedback on the project documentation and have incorporated most of the suggestions. The section on the Raspberry Pi 5 has been updated to reflect improvements in its support. We are now providing the hardware drivers that are not available on the official Debian repository.

Additionally, we have documented a significant change regarding Suricata support, which is now limited to devices with more than 2.5GB of RAM.

This month

We have updated the documentation of PiRogue to reflect all the changes that have been introduced with the release of the virtualization of PiRogue. We have also added details about the limitations of PiRogue when running on a Raspberry Pi such as low performance and the maximum of number of devices that can be connected to the PiRogue simultaneously.

Other edits were made to reflect minor project changes.

This month

Based on the feedback from our users, we have decided to introduce a third level of documentation: cookbooks. The purpose of the cookbooks is to provide step-by-step guides to address specific use cases (e.g., how to deploy PiRogue VPN). We are planning to cover the following main topics: Deployment, Acquisition, Analysis, Detection, Investigation, and Collaboration.

Some users have experienced issues with DigitalOcean when deploying PiRogue VPN. While PiRogue in its current version does not support DigitalOcean, we have started to document supported hosting providers.

In response to the audit's identification of Vulnerability 2.4, the documentation has been updated. This update details the security and usability implications of requiring an HTTPS-only connection to the PiRogue dashboard.
