[Feature]: NavigUI — UX Enhancement: Auto-close Modal on Navigation Selection #218
Description
What's the feature?
Summary:
Improve the user experience by automatically closing the modal or overlay when a navigation item (e.g., Overview, My Feeds, Activity) is selected. Currently, users must manually tap the X button to see the new page after selecting a navigation item.
Current Behavior:
• When a user taps a nav item while a modal or overlay is open, nothing appears to happen
• The view only updates after the user manually closes the overlay
Proposed Enhancement:
• Automatically close the overlay or modal immediately after a navigation item is tapped
• This will make the navigation feel more responsive and intuitive
Benefits:
• Reduces confusion, especially for first-time users
• Removes unnecessary extra step in the navigation flow
Example Flow (Ideal):
1. User taps Activity from the nav bar
2. Modal closes
3. Activity page loads and is immediately visible
