Anchor dates set in the ui are not being followed when scheduling runs

Bug summary

When creating a interval schedule from the UI I can set an anchor date. The date is accepted by the api and is shown in the schedule info of the UI. However it seems to be ignored when the runs are actually scheduled.

My schedule says starting from Feb 2:

But my runs are started from today:

Note - I'm not adding the UI label as I'm not certain if it's a ui issue. It could be that the UI is passing the wrong date type/format? But it's definitely passing a string that the api accepts. Happy to pair to dig into this one if helpful.
