Plotting options

Hi Ned,

Regarding the $Plot function.

Can we have some additional controls, like PlotHeight and so on?

To specifically do the following:

• specify range x-axis and y-axis respectively (that the plot area can be larger / smaller than the max/min values)
• specify the axis intervals (say lines at 10 interval to override the automatic devision)
• reverse axis ; for instance the y-axis in reverse order (handy when drawing bending moment diagrams with positive moments below the y=0 line and negative moments above) - sometimes one may also want to reverse the x-axis
• maybe a way to manually specify line colour?
• type of hatching under the graph?

Anycase, some more control whould be nice like with Excel graphs. Within reason of course.

Is something like that possible?

Yes, this is badly needed. It has been discussed for a long time and it is already in the roadmap at No 2, see #487.

I have tried to define macros for plotting graphs in SVG. In the example the plot height width and line width can be adjusted.
