Binary arithmetic

Hello Folks,
I have been using Calcpad for a little while now and I am finding it a great piece of software.
I am an embedded software engineer and mostly use it for calculating and checking configuration of microcontrollers. e.g. making sure the various clocks are passed around properly.
One additional use would be documenting and checking the bit fields that control the configuration. In order to do that, I need binary operations such as AND, OR, XOR etc. These are the binary though and not the logical operator.

Is this something you would consider adding please?

Hi! Yes, this is very easy to implement. I will do it in some of the next versions.
Meanwhile I quickly wrote some Calcpad functions that you can use right away:

You can save the file on your computer and use #include path\filename.cpd to add the functions to your worksheet.

Thank you very much. This appeared to be a massive and severe vector arithmetic bug. But now I fixed it. It deserves a whole new release, so I will now prepare it.

Great! Thank you for developing all these functions in Calcpad and sharing here. I believe they will be useful for everyone who wants to do bitwise calculations with Calcpad. If you don't mind I would like to add them also to the official Examples in the later versions. I like the idea about the bit vectors.

Sure! Free free to reuse them in official examples. And hopefully the new versions will get live really soon... Can't wait for some of the planned features (like #clear variables and all cool stuff in the list).

I saw it yesterday, @ralphinge123. Basically Calcpad is not recognizing the :D7 number formatting. I suppose it's a bug.

Workaround: You can make it work if you change :Dn$ to :0000000 in line 4.

You need the latest Calcpad version 7.5.6. Uninstall the old version for any case.

Yes, you are right. It works with the source code but not with the latest release. Probably some files was not updated. I will rebuild it.

I replaced the latest release without upgrading the version:
https://github.com/Proektsoftbg/Calcpad/releases/tag/v7.5.6

It should work now after uninstall - reinstall.
