#national-voter-file could use a little research help. We're looking at adding data that could be used to support school board level elections, but to do that we need to identify the appropriate census level information. Census has three levels, elementary district, secondary school district, and unified school district. I have identified that NY has school boards at the unified level (based on my knowledge of having lived there... but the city could be different).
If anyone has a few minutes of free time, this issue walks through how to get the data needed out of the census records and get it to human readable mode (simple download and open zip, grab a number, nothing complex and no code needed): national-voter-file/national-voter-file#38
