TShock Server not connecting for external players not connected to my hotspot

I understand the talk about how the local ip address can only allow players connected to your network to join your server. Im using my phone's hotspot to provide data to my system, but people cannot connect to me when I've given them my public ip. The port is still 7777.

is there a way to solve this?

Your phone's hotspot doesn't provide in access as many devices have same IP. (that's how mobile data works). Your options are:

1. Get them all in the same wi-fi and connect via private IP (the local one)
2. Setup port forwarding on your real router (not mobile hotspot) (basically let anyone have access to your port 7777) and then let them connect like that
3. Get a webhost and host there. A few euros a month will be great for a 24/7 server (requires some computer knowledge), I recommend Hetzner cloud as they don't make any problems and are cheap.
4. Pay a server host for setting it all up. Personally I recommend MCST as they have a free plan (enough for just friends) and a paid plan for bigger servers.

I think the best option for you is free MCST plan. And no there is no way to play via your hotspot.

Also, a question, I don't have a Router but would the port forwarding work with a HSDPA Modem? (Yeah it's old and all, but it's for the game to work😭)
