not letting me join and redirecting me to a discord server

What happened?

Whenever I try to join any of the friend accounts available, it kicks me out of the server with a discord server invite link, the server is called vertex and when I try to link my account with the bot it has (I'm only on PlayStation4, not blowing 7 more bucks) it doesn't recognize it. I straight up don't know what to do

I was just trying to join through the friend method

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. This kick message is NOT from or associated with this project, so do not follow the Discord link. This seems to only be the Add-Friend method affected, so you could use the DNS method for the time being as that method appears unaffected by this.

Currently investigating what's occurring here, but something seems to be directing the connection to an incorrect server. I don't see any recent logins on the bot accounts that would indicate it was hijacked, but just in case I've taken measures to lock down the accounts and further secure them. Going to probably leave the bots offline for a bit while Microsoft signs out all the current logged-in devices.

Will update in here once bots are back online and the redirection is gone. Thanks for the patience as I work through figuring out what's going on here.

Hey I noticed that when it doesn't give me the message it tells me the world that bcmain is directing me to it's a friends world, that accs world, but when it gives me the message it says it's leading me to a friend of friend's world? Interesting

@Pugmatt issue still persists, now with a newly created discord server.

I would probably shut off the bots for now. Not sure what the end-game here is but it can't be good

Thank you for the heads up everyone, this seems to always happen the days I'm busy away from the computer so apologies for the delay. I'm not sure yet what is happening here, so I've shut down the bots again for the time being. May enable later for some further testing.

Interesting indeed. I don't see any recent login activity on the bots indicating unauthorized access, so this is perhaps a Minecraft exploit or bug inside Minecraft's friend system. I'm not really sure yet.
