BAND STRUCTURE -> k-path discontinuous.

I would like to plot a band structure where the path is discontinuous. How could I do something like "X|M" on the X-axis?

Quote the arguments and use blank space to separate the k-point name, e.g. pyband -k 'm g X|M k'. Other legal separators are "," and ";"
