KDE4. qtcurve as GTK2 theme causes Gimp crash when using text tool

It took me a while to figure this out:
Gimp crashes when qtcurve is set as GTK2 theme, when using the text tool (after click on layer). Doing the exact same thing after switching to a different GTK2 theme, gimp works fine - no crashing.

Arch Linux
gimp 2.8.10-1
libxcursor-1.1.14-1
qtcurve 1.8.18-2 (tried both. pacman install and manual build from source)

I hope this can be fixed ...

Can you provide you qtcurve setting file please?
This is likely a setting specific problem.

it's the qtcurve-theme I'm using

Well, I didn't say the crash can be caused by the theme setting files, but the crash is triggered by the settings......

In my case it was the Evolvere QtCurve theme preset causing gimp to crash - after I switched to human gimp works again.

Please don't report there. There's nothing can be done in the setting files.

Hi, so is this an issue with QtCurve or with GIMP? I really like using my QtCurve theme but it is a bit annoying having to switch to another theme just to use certain tools/programs (Dr.Racket also fails to launch when using QtCurve).
