Windows test runners have trouble formatting default output

I think this is happening because pytest-run-parallel is using a character that windows terminal encoding doesn't understand?

This was probably to differentiate between a PASSED and a PARALLEL PASSED. Should we just do a dot (.) for PARALLEL PASSED as well?

I'll poke around with it on my Windows machine. I'd rather have a way to visually distinguish and maybe there's a quick fix or better character we can use.

I think maybe we're assuming UTF-8 encoding, but this is displayed in a terminal so we need to convert to the native encoding (UTF-16 on Windows).
