second download replaced the first file #1878

Hi,
I'm using Linux Mint Mate.
One day I download a file (mg1.png) and it finished. The next day or later, I downloaded the same file again because I forgot. Then I realized I already have downloaded the file so canceled the running download.
I checked the download folder surprised to see that it actually replaced the old file automatically. So cancel broke the file. The previously downloaded file is none since it being overwritten by the new download.

I think it should be better to just add "(1)" to the file name if there already a downloaded file.
Like how Google Chrome have it so when you downloaded for the second time there will be two files instead.

mg1 (2).png
mg1 (3).png
...etc
