Features need prior selection to work

Currently, to apply features created by ffDesign_HoleWizard and ffDesign_ZipTieChannels, it is necessary to select features in the design tree before launching the commands. It should be possible to first run them, then be prompted to select existing features to apply dress-ups to them. PD fillets, for example, allow prior selection as well as selection via task panel. It’s much more comfortable to use.

Hm, this seems to also be a new thing with 1.1dev? We can adjust it to work this way, but so far I oriented myself on the way PD features work in 1.0.

Also, you do not always have to select a feature beforehand: If the tip of the body is a Hole, the HoleWizard features will detect and use it automatically.

Although I don't quite see how this would work for the ffDesign features? You don't get to make a multi-selection for the features in this addon, so the only mode that makes sense is what PartDesign_Hole or PartDesign_Pad do: Use the tip of the body automatically if no selection is active. And that's already mostly implemented as I mentioned above.

Prior selection was possible since before 1.0 IIRC, but not for the hole tool. This inconsistency is known and will disappear eventually, hopefully sooner than later.

The task panel could have an input widget to select the hole feature, similarly to fillet, but allowing only one feature instead of an indefinite number. Actually, the fillet tool used to require prior selection and it was change because it’s more comfortable to allow both workflows.
