Looking forward to the upstreaming of this DTS to the mainline kernel.

I have long been looking forward to having the DTS for this model merged into the Ubuntu kernel (or the mainline Linux kernel). Previously, I attempted to simply modify the DTS for the ThinkPad T14s and submit it to the kernel mailing list for review; however, it was rejected for failing to meet the requirements. Could you help submit this DTS to the kernel mailing list for review?

I'm glad to see this work being used by others, but this work is still in early stage. Many important features are missing or not stable, notably HDMI, integrated microphone/headphone jack and Bluetooth.
Hardware schema of this laptop is not publicly available, so device tree must be from wild guessing or reverse-engineering, and that's why it is really hard to estimate when it finishes.

By the way, you can install this device tree to your current Linux setup if you just want to try this device tree.

hey jglathe would this dtb be an upgrade from the x1p64100-acer-swift-sf14-11 dtsi you ship from your ubuntu kernel fork?

p.s i believe Swift_SF14-11T should be supported for both of these dtb's correct?

Hi @pixel844 took me a while, now I've taken a closer look. It is definitely an upgrade from the sf14-11 dtsi that I have. Did you also check the internal mic array?
I can integrate this into my tree, you would need to do the testing, though.
And here's one question. Acer was busy (as all the others) cranking out new SKUs. Which ones do we support now?
Genuinely impressed on the backlight find. Another odd one, with pm8550_pwm, and interesting pmic gpios.

Thanks for replying, on a closer look it seems like there are mainly 3 main versions and from what i see there 5 variants overall that use the x1 chip within the specific Acer swift lineup, SF14-11T-X3RZ, SF14-11-X128, SF14-11-X6FR, SFG14-01-X49U.
specifically i'm using the SF14-11T-X3RZ myself, and funnily enough the only one out of the many that actually has touchscreen support, i would be glad to do some logging of my specific model if needed.
