Question - Does this script work on a Raspberry Pi 4 B?  If so, does it work anywhere near USB 3 speeds?

I'd like to try this on a Pi 4 B and haven't found more than one other drive eraser script for the pi, of which only works at half of USB 2 speeds tops which doesn't cut it for drives over 500GB in size.  

Does this go faster than 40 MB/s and run on a Pi 4 B?
