Key photo of album missing in what is extracted from the database

If I am not mistaken, the possibility that exists in the album view of Photos to define one of the photos to be the key photo is not extracted by osxphotos from the sqlite database.
Depending of the version of the iPhoto/Photo software, this information is in ZKEYASSET or ZCUSTOMKEYASSET.

I am migrating to osxphotos an old perl tool that I wrote, that generates a static website from the content of the database. I was using the key photo as the picture linking to an album, and I am missing it.

You're right that this is not currently extracted. I'll look at adding this soon as it's not difficult. Have a couple blockers at the moment with some other fixes I'm working on.

If you're writing your own python code to use osxphotos to export the photos then you could do the following to get the key photo until I can implement this.

In my case (Photos 10.0 on OSX 15.3.2), COALESCE(ZGENERICALBUM.ZCUSTOMKEYASSET, ZGENERICALBUM.ZKEYASSET) fails with sqlite3.OperationalError: no such column: ZGENERICALBUM.ZKEYASSET, but I can replace it with ZGENERICALBUM.ZCUSTOMKEYASSET.
