Question, Column Headers

What is the difference between columns headers such as "g0001+ctrl" and "g0001+ctrl.39"? It was my understanding that any gene plus a ctrl meant a single perturbation, so what does the .39 indicate? Thanks for any help!

I think those are replicates (g0001+ctrl, g0001+ctrl.1.... g0001+ctrl.39 i.e indicating 40 replicates for g0001+ctrl) internally tagged when csv file is loaded.
