This milestone is devoted to the implementation of rail buttons in the flight simulation. More specifically, it is desirable that the forces acting on the two rail buttons carried by high powered rockets during launch can be easily calculated. Furthermore, allowing for a more accurate simulation of the 3 degree of freedom flight phase when only one rail button is still attached to the rail is crucial to improve low speed dynamic stability analysis.
Due by February 23, 2019•1/1 issues closedThis milestone has the objective to provide the following enhancements to the Environment Class: - Fix latitude and longitude interpolation for weather data. - Add elevation input and calculation based on latitude and longitude. - Add support for other model dictionaries besides ERA and GFS, such as HRRR and RAP. - Add support for upper air soundings, perhaps using Siphon. - Add support for quick weather forecast model access by name instead of by file or OPeNDAPS. - Add support for pressure and temperature model inclusion separate from wind. - Add support for the International Standard Atmosphere. - Add support for a Earth Gravitational Model.
