The sequencer is fairly robust until it is feed data that forces it to operate in the "Quantum Scale", in other words edges less than the .5m tolerance. This leads to some less than favorable design choices that are necessary to handle this data. A potential fix might be to aggregate nodal metrics into a single settlement point in the network for neighbors within the tolerance. This would prevent the data misalignment that can currently happen, and reduce the need for buffered input data.
