Roadmap: law-diff-mcp after v0.1.0

Goal

Make Japanese law amendment changes easier to inspect from MCP clients such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and Cursor.

This project is a source-backed diff triage tool, not legal advice and not a replacement for official new-old comparison tables.

v0.1.0 MVP

• list e-Gov updated-law records by date
• find candidate law revision IDs across a short date range
• retrieve current or historical law text by law ID / law history ID
• generate a normalized article/paragraph line diff between two revisions

v0.1.1

• add article-level filtering for diff_revisions
• improve paragraph numbering normalization
• add safer output caps for very large laws
• add examples using 個人情報保護法 and 電気通信事業法

v0.2.0

• output a new-old comparison table style summary
• group changes by article
• mark added, removed, and changed articles separately
• expose a concise summary for agent prompts

v0.3.0

• integrate with @codeagentjp/egov-law-mcp workflows
• add helpers that search current law first, then find relevant revisions
• document combined usage with @codeagentjp/houan-mcp for bill-to-law amendment tracking

• cache update-list responses locally
• add optional JSONL export for downstream indexing
