using cli to search for images

ringboard displays images in its selector UI for restoring to clipboard historical clipboard items.
It also has a search feature which can use regex to search items. If the clipboard contains an image, how do I search for a literal image?

My intention is to be able to find the last png and move it to the top.

Nope. With some tweaks we could store a timestamp, but I didn't see the point. I think it'd only be useful if we implemented a query language or UI that let you filter by date range. Though it's worth noting that you can export every entry in time order (but we don't know the actual times, just the order in which the entries were added):

^parsing json might be able to do what you're envisioning as a UI interaction in cli with what already exists in the json in the backend if unix time stamp were added. I think for people like myself who have huge clipboard histories this could allow people to find things specifically from a certain time precisely. An addition to a unix time could allow parsing of entire clipboard this way.But you can dump json already with this it just doesn't have a time parameter?

Okay. I would like to try to fork this and implement time stamps, though i am mostly a vibe coder. But what main areas of the project would be responsible for creating and adding timestamp metadata for json?

Might be pretty hard, but sure. The way I'd implement this is by adding metadata rings. So currently there are files main.ring and favorites.ring. I'd add main.metadata and favorites.metadata here:

Then you need to update all the write paths to write your metadata which should be a single u64 per entry containing the UTC timestamp since the epoch.
