Why are you interested in joining the Safety Critical Rust Consortium?
I am the author of the mutest-rs open-source mutation testing tool for Rust programs, and I would love to contribute my work to the Safety-Critical Rust Consortium. Mutation testing is a technique for finding testing gaps through generated bugs. To my knowledge, there are some safety-critical standards and certifications that either require it, or at least strongly suggest its use. My aim with mutest-rs for the last four years has been to make it fast and accessible for even larger projects. In addition, I have work on mutest-rs for adding support for mutating embedded firmware, and testing mutated code directly on embedded devices, that I am expecting to release in the next 2–4 months. I expect this to be of particular interest to a lot of safety-critical applications.
