Why are you interested in joining the Safety Critical Rust Consortium?
Copper Robotics develops copper-rs, an open-source deterministic runtime for robotics and autonomous systems.
From the beginning, our goal has been to create a clear technical path toward safety and regulatory standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, and IEC 61508. Determinism, full traceability, replayability, and strong system-level guarantees are core design principles of the project precisely because certification and auditability matter in real-world robotics.
We are interested in joining the Safety Critical Rust Consortium to collaborate on aligning Rust with established safety standards and to contribute practical experience from deploying Rust in systems that require verifiable behavior. We believe Rust can become a first-class foundation for certifiable, safety-critical systems, and we want to help build that path.
