Why are you interested in joining the Safety Critical Rust Consortium?

I’m interested in Rust because I like its focus on safety while still keeping the performance of systems languages. It has made me think more carefully about writing safe low-level code. Right now I’m also rewriting parts of the Xinu OS in Rust, where safety is really important.

Do you plan to be a producer or observer in the consortium?
