Why are you interested in joining the Safety Critical Rust Consortium?
I'm building Floyd, an open-source MC/DC coverage engine for Rust targeting ISO 26262 (ASIL-D, TCL3), and I want to align it with the consortium's direction on structural coverage and tooling rather than build it in isolation. The removal of rustc's native MC/DC instrumentation in August 2025 left a cargo-native gap that Floyd is built to fill, and that work sits squarely inside the Tooling and Coding Guidelines subcommittees' remit. I'd like to contribute it, get feedback on the qualification approach from people who do this for a living, and avoid duplicating effort the consortium may already have underway.
