Why are you interested in joining the Safety Critical Rust Consortium?
I am the Lead Software Engineer at Skylift. We use Rust as the primary language for the Command and Control (C2) companion computers on our offshore heavy-lift UAVs (handling payloads up to 100kg). Due to the physical risks of offshore logistics, we rely on Rust for fault-tolerant, deterministic execution. We are also exploring immutable OS architectures to guarantee safe, atomic OTA updates for our fleet in remote environments.
