When modifying filter settings (e.g. Margins, Output) via Tools > Default Parameters and clicking Save, the app immediately shows an error: "The name conflicts with a default profile name. Please enter a different name." — regardless of what's shown in the profile dropdown (tried with "Custom" selected). No name-entry dialog ever appears before this error.
Steps to reproduce:
Open Tools > Default Parameters
Change any setting (e.g. Margins values)
Click Save
Error appears immediately, no prompt for a new profile name
Checked the config folder after this (config/scantailor-advanced/scantailor-advanced) — it only ever contains a single settings file tracking current_profile=Custom, but no profiles subfolder or file is ever created, even after multiple Save attempts.
Confirmed this happens both in v1.0.19 (Windows) and in an old 2018 build, so it appears to be a longstanding issue rather than a regression.
Workaround found: settings persist for the current session as long as the app isn't closed, so new projects created without restarting the app do inherit the custom values. But nothing survives an app restart.
