Ability to see through the wallpaper at all times when using HDRis

The Motivation

When using an HDRi to add to the 3d effect, the wallpaper which makes up the faces of the Desktop Cube is still visible under the windows. That blocks a lot of the view of the environment created by the use of an HDRi.

The Solution

It would be great if the extension could hide the wallpaper entirely and make the HDRi visible at all times, even when not switching between desktops, as if the windows were really part of the 3D-like environment created by the HDRi.

The Alternatives

Perhaps it's not of the extension's resort to make the wallpaper transparent but maybe GNOME Shell ? I have tried setting a blank .png as background but I just ended up with a pitch black wallpaper.

This is a pretty cool idea! Technically, it should be possible. There will be few difficulties, though:

• What about multiple monitors? How should it behave here?
• What about the other workspaces? They will suddenly pop up when you start rotating (they are usually not drawn all the time). If you have other windows on other workspaces, this will look quite ugly.

But yeah, if anybody wants to look into this, I think it should be possible!
