Excavator was failing because upstream has dropped support for Windows 32bit in the 2.21 update cycle.
See commit: 6c9dec4

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Updated Biber to version 2.21 for Windows.
    • Discontinued 32-bit Windows support; only 64-bit builds are now available.
    • Updated the integrity hash for the 64-bit Windows download to ensure verification.
    • Users on 32-bit Windows will no longer receive updates or new installs for Biber via this package; 64-bit users continue to install and update as usual.

Walkthrough

The biber manifest was updated to version 2.21, the 32-bit Windows entries were removed from both architecture and autoupdate sections, and the 64-bit Windows binary hash was changed to a new SHA1.

Poem

I hop through buckets, light and spry,
A 32-bit wave goodbye.
New hash glints where the binaries run,
Two-two-one beneath the sun.
With tidy paws, I sign the change—
Thump! The manifest’s in range. 🐇✨

bucket/biber.json (3)

9-14: Win32 removal is consistent across architecture and autoupdate.
No dangling 32-bit entries observed. Nice cleanup.

Also applies to: 18-22

2-2: Approve version bump to 2.21. Checkver regex confirms version 2.21 is exposed on the homepage.

11-13: Verify SHA1 and capture SHA256
Manual step required: download the Windows binary from the URL in bucket/biber.json (architecture."64bit".url) and confirm the declared SHA1 ee3ffda40abd7d420427620d6db3203923cda4c7 matches. Compute and record the SHA256 for a follow-up update. If upstream publishes a .sha256 file at <url>.sha256, migrate this manifest to use that SHA256 checksum instead.
