In #352 the suggestion was made to implement camera zooming. In certrain places, this might be quite some interesting feature. For a large jump, we could zoom out the camera.
We have to carefully weight it with the possibility to accidentally reveal secret areas which are just out of sight, so a completely user-controlled camera will not happen (like "press 'z' to zoom). @Luiji, can we employ some nifity OpenGL tricks to zoom all visible objects at once? Of course, code changes with regard to distances have still be shipped.
Also, I’m sure level designers will appreciate it if the level editor becomes zoomable. I’ve often wished this would be possible myself.
