I'm getting a flashing error similar to the one posted above. I have an Orin Nano 8GB developer kit with a 1 TB SSD. i'm trying to flash It will hang for about 5 minutes and then continue, ultimately failing with a flashing error. Has anyone run into this before? Am I inadvertently trying something that isn't supported? |

FYI, make sure Host Ubuntu has IPv6 enabled, else you might see something like this in either method above: "Waiting for device to expose ssh ...sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/usb0/disable_ipv6: No such file or directory" I have re-enabled IPv6 and now have gotten past this step, and hopefully flash completes now. Update: Flash completed, all setup now. |

Is there something special about how I have to flash an NVMe drive on the reComputer J401 vs the Jetson Orin NX Dev kit from NVIDIA? I have flashed NVMe on numerous setups. The official dev kit always boots NVMe without issue. The reComputer has issues detecting the NVMe drive 95% of the time. Am I doing something wrong here? |

I’ve installed JetPack 6.0 on my Jetson Orin NX 16GB following the exact instructions provided here. After the installation, I encountered a permission issue when trying to open Firefox or any other browser (installed via Snap Store). The applications fail to launch because they attempt to create directories or files under the root directory It seems like there are restricted root permissions or sandboxing issues with snap packages under the current JetPack/Linux configuration. Has anyone faced this issue before or knows how to resolve it? Any suggestions such as adjusting snap confinement policies, using an alternative installation method, or correcting user permissions would be greatly appreciated. quanta@quanta-desktop:~$ firefox

Hey guys, I'm trying to flash a J501 board (to the nvme) carrying a 3702-0002 AGX Orin module. I've tried following these instructions and got stuck at the USB timeout errors - immediately after entering 'sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh --flash-only --massflash 1 --network usb0 --showlogs'. I tried 3 different Ubuntu machines and all types of usb C cables and ports without success (getting thought the USB timeout error). After several AI sessions, I now know that the issue is that the Seeed reserver J501 board image package does not have a configuration for the 3702-0002 module. I then downloaded the nvidia packages (sample root and BSP for their carrier board) and noticed that they had a configuration for 3702-0002 and 3702-0000. AI has told me that 0002 and 0000 are treated the same (not sure if this is correct). So i have tried several custom (reServer drivers with flash.sh) attempts without success. It usually runs the L4T BSP method and errors out at: 'sed: couldn't edit /mfi_reserver-agx-orin-64g-j501-6.2-36.4.3-2025-04-02/mfi_reserver-agx-orin-j501x/bootloader/: not a regular file'. Then it throws me to the tegraflash~> shell, but it gives me a 'Error: Command line bootloader is not specified' once I try to run the 'flash' command. I can flash the module with the standard nvidia process but I am unable to view anything on the hdmi port, so I cant interact with it to load the correct drivers. I can provide any commands that would help you, just let me know. I just don't know which ones to provide. My nvme is a Samsung 990 pro 2tb. I have two of there modules (3702-0002) and they both provide the same outputs. Please Help, Thanks. |

J401 Carrier Board doesn't recognize the USB hub connected to the USB-C port I have flashed the latest Jetpack 6.2 using the instructions from this wiki, but my system does not recognize my hub at all. In contrast, I have another official development board from Nvidia with Jetpack 6.1 installed, which does recognize the hub. Can you please provide a solution? I need to use the hub to extend an Ethernet port to support my multiple sensors. Platform: J401 Carrier Board |

First of all, why the hell do you use sharepoint/one drive for storage? The
jetpack archives are nearly 15GB size, and there are restrictions of
archive files size people can download.. So 99 out of 100 times I try
download the JetPack archive, it fails.Tried this under linux, under
windows 10, with firefox, chrome and curl...
Aside this with ubuntu 22.04 on real host (ubuntu live cd) installation of
JetPack 6.2 was successful. With virtualbox and same ubuntu installation
image i couldn't manage to install it.

 Hi,
1.Please do not use an Ubuntu 24.04 host machine, as JetPack 6.x versions
only support Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04.
2.When flashing the device, please verify the SHA value to ensure no files
 are missing or corrupted.
3.Make sure the device is in recovery mode. The loop prompt "Waiting for
target to boot-up" in the logs indicates that the device may not have
 entered the expected boot mode.
4.Please strictly follow the steps in our wiki, execute them one by one,
and check all the items mentioned above.

I managed to flash it with live cd. But the download failure was not
because network issue, but the platform you are using.

… Hi,
 we apologize for the inconvenience.
1.We recommend switching to a more stable network to download the image
file. Currently, we have not encountered any download failures in our
 network environment.
2.We do not recommend using a virtual machine for firmware flashing.
During the flashing process, the device will restart, and you will need to
reconnect the device to the virtual machine platform promptly. If the
reconnection is delayed, a flashing error may occur—this is the reason we
recommend using a physical Ubuntu host for firmware flashing.
