I would love a guide on how to use this with an external speaker. How do you still get AEC?

It looks like the simplest way to do it might be to use the 3.5 mm jack line out to an active speaker, doesn't work for my setup though.

I was trying to use the Digiamp+ and a sound card with a pi with the ReSpeaker. I assume if we send the audio out to both the speaker and the respeaker it would be able to do AEC processing?

I'm also curious about any guides on using a mic array like this in an enclosure. Surely the materials affect signal processing and the orientation of the speaker itself i.e. if it were vertical, would effect beamforming?

Yes, the beamforming will change because we set the microphone distances in the algorithm.

Hi,

I'm unable to recognize the device as an Audio input and output.

In Device Manager, I see "reSpeaker XVF3800 4-Mic Array" under Universal Serial Bus devices, but after uninstalling and restarting the device, it reinstalls the driver to the same location

It seems that you may have tried to uninstall the ReSpeaker XVF3800 under the USB device subset in the device tree. Could you please send us a screenshot of your device tree through technical support? We need to verify whether there are any DFU entries or other USB controllers related to the ReSpeaker XVF3800.
