When scanning using Socket Mobile handheld scanner and Scanner API, music / Bluetooth speaker stops playing

Describe the bug

Many merchants use their Shopify POS iPad to play music in their store, and we've received multiple tickets reporting that when using the Socket Mobile handheld scanner and the Scanner API in a tile, when you scan a barcode it causes issues with a connected Bluetooth speaker.

I don't have a video of this behavior, but have received multiple tickets about this and request that the team try and reproduce and see if a fix is available.

+1 here, some more details - it happens on the latest 2025-01 version as well, using typescript. Can reproduce it when playing music on a Google Pixel with a dev store. When playing music and scanning with an external device (also a Socket Mobile) it pauses any music playing on that device.

It doesn't happen when using the camera scanner. I'm guessing it's related to the beep it plays? Is there any way to disable that beep, either in the POS settings or via the api?

Did a bit more research - any app that plays media audio in the foreground causes spotify to pause. That's intended behavior.
Scanning an item with the external scanner plays a little beep acknowledgement from the app.

The problem here is I don't want the external scan to play a sound. When using the external scanner in the app normally (not using a custom extension) it doesn't play a sound. Same when using the camera scanner. So it seems like the intended behavior is not playing a sound when something is scanned with an external scanner.
