Description
There is already code ready to build Dev AMIs.
They could still provide some value over using the Benchmarking AMIs.
In addition to the existing setup it might be nice to have a launch template with the default disk size being 24GB (rather than 16GB), though if the 16GB disk of the AMI has enough room that's not that important.
It would also be nice if the boot script would pull the latest ruby and immediately start building so that by the time the user gets in the cache will be warmed up.
The boot script should also configure all the CPUs as yjit-bench and yjit-metrics pin to different CPUs and any custom benchmarks
outside of those two repos may not include CPU config commands.
