Description
Goal
Improve the Reference Performance.
Motivation
Referencing a very heavy file can take up to an hour if it contains not only huge objects but also a huge amount of separate pieces.
The loading time can be greatly reduced by disabling the Maya Viewport before loading the reference and re-enabling it afterwards.
To Do
- Figure out how to disable the Viewport programmatically
- Figure out how to enable it after the referencing process is done
