Summary

Does SiLabs Arduino supports intermittently connected devices (ICD)? I quickly scanned the API and the relevant examples and couldn't find any trace of it.

ICD would be necessary for battery powered devices such as thermostats and switches.

Would highly appreciate this as well; or at least some sort of guidance/hints on how to use the underlying SDK for this use case.

+1 - hit this exact wall on a hobby battery-powered Matter project.

Idle current is ~5-8 mA as a Full Thread Device, so roughly 2 weeks on an 18650. For a device that sits idle 99% of the time waiting for an open/close command, this is a hard blocker.

I'm just a hobbyist, not an embedded engineer - but from what I understand, the underlying Silabs Matter SDK already supports ICD, it just isn't exposed in the Arduino Matter library. Even a minimal API would unlock a huge class of hobby battery projects (blinds, switches, thermostats, locks):

Tamas Jozsi (@silabs-bozont) - in #6 you mentioned that Sleepy End Devices were on the roadmap. Any update on when this might land, even as an experimental option?
